Blood cancers

Lymphoma

We review the biopsy, scans, blood tests and any previous treatment, then explain how the diagnosis is confirmed, how staging works and what the next step is.

What the consultation involves

  • The biopsy report is explained in plain language, including the specific subtype where it is known.
  • Scans and blood results are placed in the context of staging.
  • Where a decision depends on a test that has not been done yet, we say so plainly.

Who may need this

  • A biopsy result suggesting or confirming lymphoma
  • Persistent swollen lymph nodes under investigation
  • A review of treatment already started elsewhere

What to bring

  • The histopathology and immunohistochemistry reports
  • PET-CT or CT scan reports and images where available
  • A record of any chemotherapy cycles already completed
